Job Title:             Sales Training Manager

Reports to:         VP Global Sales

Job Purpose: The Sales Trainer is a global role and will report to the Sales Operations Manager you will be the subject matter expert in all Sales processes and systems. You will conduct needs analysis, design and facilitate training based on observations of need within the sales organisation. You will design training objectives, content and assessments through a blended approach including; eLearning, video, face to face, webinars etc.

  • Design, develop, facilitate and iterate New Hire Onboarding for Sales

  • You’re ahead of the curve before products and systems launch you’ve already developed training tools and content. 

  • Facilitate training and ensure it is compliant, effective, memorable, and relevant

  • Ensure all training materials are relevant, following sales system updates and changes

  • Observe and coach employee customer meetings and calls while providing the correct observational feedback

  • Use data to identify performance gaps and create solutions

  • You’re an experienced project manager and familiar with project management methodologies end-to-end

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to scope training and design project plan towards program development

  • Communicate cross-functionally and track project objectives

Summary of Job Requirements:


Education, Training & Qualifications

  • B.Sc. Biology or related fields
  • experience in proteins, immunology and Immunohistochemistry would be desirable.

Experience – work, research, voluntary, other

  • More than three years of experience in solution science-based selling in the Life Science market in Pharma and Biotech
  • 3-5 years training experience in a sales environment,
  • Knowledge of eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline and Camtasia and LMS such as Saba
  • Qualification in a profiling tool like DISC or Insights
  • A good understanding of drug discovery and/or diagnostic workflows and the technologies employed.

  • Demonstrable ability to devise creative methods for the transfer of technical information.  Your training is relevant and sticks. 
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • Experience in selling solutions and services

  • Excellent written and verbal communication to educate a wide variety of audiences
  • Travel both domestic and international is required of up to 35%
  • This will include face to face meetings with staff, attendance at sales meetings
